E-mails and other forms of personal communication that are not retrievable are cited only in the text. For more information, refer to Section 8.9 of the APA Publication Manual, 7th Edition.

In-Text Citations

For MLA

Provide the first item in the Works Cited entry that corresponds to the citation (e.g. author name, website name, @username). 

Avoid including URLs in-text. Partial URLs can be used if it includes a domain name, such as BBC.com or Facebook.com.

For APA

Use the author-date style. If no date is given, use the abbreviation "n.d.".
