When you are searching in a library databases, it is different than searching in Google. In a library database, you have to connect keywords in your search using Boolean connectors, AND, OR, and NOT.
Use quotes around phrases--two words that you want searched together in a particular order
Use an asterisk to find variant endings of a word.
Examples:
brand AND strategy - include AND between keywords
brand* AND strateg* - will find variant endings of both words
"brand strategy" - will search for these two words together
brand* AND marketing AND strateg*
(brand* OR design*) AND wayfinding - when you use OR between keywords, those terms must be in parentheses
If there isn't a link to the full text article in the database, you can use the FIND IT button to possibly link to the full text article in another database or on a publisher's site with whom the library has an agreement.
Another place to search for journal and periodical articles is Google Scholar. Below you will find instructions for setting your library links for Boise State University which will allow you to link to full text articles available in the Albertsons Library's subscription databases. You will also be able to link to the Library's catalog for books.
