Information about APA Citations

Below are some online resources that provide information about APA citation style:

Print Copies
Print copies of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 7th Edition, are available at the Albertsons Library on the 2nd floor at this call number: BF76.7 .P83 2020.

Finding the APA Citation in EBSCO Databases

  1. On the results list, if you select the linked title of an article, you will go to another page with a Tools Menu on the right side. 
  2. On the Tools Menu, select Cite, and a scrolling window will appear.
  3. Scroll down until you find the APA citation which you can then copy and paste into another document.

  4. For all citations that you obtain in databases, it is good to double check the APA Manual or the OWL APA Formatting and Style Guide to ensure the citation is correct and in the 7th edition format.

Finding the APA Citation in ProQuest Databases

  1. You can find the APA citation for an article in a ProQuest database by selecting the check box beside the article and then selecting the quotation mark at the top of the results list (see below).

  2. Then select APA 7th on the drop-down list. You can then copy and past the APA citation. Be sure to check the citation to ensure it is correct.
