• Demographics and Statistics

  • United States Census Bureau - information gathered about the nation's population and economy.

  • Boise State University Institutional Effectiveness office - contains multiple data sets and reports including enrollment, demographic, degrees, and financial data

  • State of Idaho website 

  • Idaho Gem State Prospector - Excellent source - provides community, labor, business, and other demographic data for the state of Idaho. 

  • The Integrated Postsecondary Educational Data System (IPEDS) - Provided by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES); "gathers information from every college, university, and technical and vocational institution that participates in the federal student financial aid programs" (about page).

• Company / Industry

  • Market Share Reporter - print resource that "presents market share data on over four thousand companies, and 2,500 products, facilities, and brands. Several entries are usually available under each industry."

  • Consumer Expenditure Survey - "program consists of two surveys, the Quarterly Interview Survey and the Diary Survey, that provide information on the buying habits of America's consumers, including data on their expenditures, income, and consumer unit (families and single consumers) characteristics. The survey data are collected for the Bureau of Labor Statistics by the U.S. Census Bureau."

  • Mergent Intellect (Hoover's Online) - provides company and industry information, industry news, career and personal finance information, and information on initial public offerings.
