Storyboard incorporates inclusive practices. We connect practices of inclusivity to the development of student narratives that relate their educational experiences to their future goals and objectives. This page offers resources for reflecting on inclusive narratives for faculty.
Why are inclusive narratives important?
Students are adding new chapters to their life stories as they study on our campus. Their life stories are varied, posing different challenges to achieve a combination of authentic self-expression while speaking to an audience beyond academia.
To be inclusive, narrative resources must offer both varied resources that can guide students to discover multiple ways to express their individual experiences, as well as rich opportunities to reflect on the experiences of others on campus and beyond.
Faculty should embrace the opportunity to nourish inclusion in a supportive manner as a basic responsibility. The activities and resources in this guide will assist faculty in fulfilling this responsibility.
Why STEM institutions should better align faculty awareness of gender inequity with meaningful, pedagogical change strategies.
Three ways inclusivity and diversity can forge resilient teams and gritty cultures.
