Adobe ID

Sign up for a free Adobe ID, needed to read eBooks on most mobile devices.

  • Look for the "Don't have an Adobe ID?" link:
  • Be sure to click the verification link sent to you via email.

Bluefire Reader

Many of our eBooks can be downloaded as a .pdf or .epub file. If you’re going to download eBooks to an Apple or Android device, we recommend using the free Bluefire Reader App.

  • Once you’ve downloaded the Bluefire Reader app, before you can download a book, it will ask you to sign in with your Adobe ID.

Accessing eBooks

You can use the search box on the main Albertsons Library page to find eBooks:

Click the book title you want and look for a link to access the eBook itself:

EBL eBooks

EBL is our biggest collection of eBooks, so here's what it looks like when you access an EBL eBook.

Click on the Read Online button underneath the book cover image:

From here you will get to the full-text of the eBook. At this point you can read the entire book through the browser, use the search option to find a particular keyword, navigate through the different sections of the book, take notes that you can export, and download the book to a computer or mobile device:

If you want to download the book to a mobile device, make sure you have your Adobe ID and you've downloaded the appropriate app (see above). Select the period of time for the download and the appropriate format:

If you need the book for a longer period of time, just find the book in the library catalog again, and re-download it!
