Persistent URLs in Databases

Proquest Ebook Central allows you to both grab a PURL to the ebook homepage, but also, and this is pretty cool, you can grab a PURL to an individual page. In this you can direct your students to the beginning of a chapter or section you want them to read. So, the process for both is exactly the same, but let's look at both.

From the full eBook record page, select the Share Link to Book link to share access to the entire book.

But, you can also link to a particular page in the book. So in other words, you can link to just the first page of a chapter and have your students read just that chapter online. To do so, select the page you want to link to and then select the Share Link button at the top of the page.

A pop up will appear with the actual link to copy and paste to take folks back to this exact same page in the book.
