Project Writing and Research E-Textbook: Reflection

Project Writing and Research - where the Library and First Year Writing courses team up for student success! This textbook has been collaboratively developed to introduce the basic skills that students need for beginning research.

Reflection: Introduction & Goals

Introduction

We've talked a lot about the inquiry process being steps that you take between receiving a new assignment and actually completing it. You've seen a flow chart demonstrating this process, and you may have described your own process. Now it's time like you to think again about how your own inquiry process is unique and about how it's changed over the course of the semester.

We all do research in our own ways, even though we often use many of the same resources. You may also find yourself pursuing a different research process on different types of projects.

Goals

By the end of this module, you should be able to describe your own unique inquiry process.

Step 1: Review the inquiry process diagram

Review the inquiry process diagram, attached. Think about how your inquiry process has changed since the beginning of the semester, and how it's similar to or different from this diagram.
