The purpose of this guide is to help you locate and use downloadable eBooks available from Albertsons Library.

Using ProQuest eBook Central

ProQuest Ebook Central offers ebooks in a wide variety of genres, including fiction, literature, business, travel, social sciences, history, health and medicine, and science and technology.


  • Read online by selecting "Online Reading" option.


  • Terms can be searched within the individual title from the online reader.

Downloading & Printing

  • To Download full book select "Full Download" option from landing page or online reader which will require Adobe Digital Editions.
    • In the Adobe Digital Editions reader the Ebook can be stored offline, searched through for terms, highlighted and bookmarked.
    • Download by chapter from landing page or online reader by selecting "PDF" option. Downloaded chapters will remain on device or computer permanently.
  • Most titles will print up to 40% of book pages.
    • Printing limit will refresh after 24 hours for each title.

Other Features:

  • In account: view recent activity, annotated items, create folders in Bookshelf to save titles. Save notes, highlights, etc in online reader.

Content Albertsons Library's collection currently consists of over 2000 titles.
BSU Access (login required) To access this ebook collection, go to the Library's Articles & Databases page, click on tab "P", scroll down and select "ProQuest Ebook Central". The individual ebooks in this collection can also be accessed by searching the Library's catalog.
Account Creation N/A
Loan Period 7, 10, 14, or 21 days, depending on the title.
User Limits Vary by title. May be accessible as 1 user, 3 user, Concurrent access, or Unlimited user. Please email for more information.
Tools Can export citations to RefWorks and EndNote, highlight and annotate text, bookmark progress and share links to pages.
System & Software Requirements

Can be read online in the browser or downloaded as PDF in Adobe Reader. Titles can also be accessed in BlueFire Reader and iBooks.

Downloading & Printing

Download/save/print multiple pages, sections, or chapters in PDF format as permitted for each title. (Remaining pages are shown under "Available for Online Reading" heading.)
