ORCID IDs and Your Online Professional Presence

As you work through your degree and develop into a researcher, be thinking about how you will share your scholarship. The Library provides tools to help.

  • ORCID IDs provide a method for authors to assert ownership of their work and distinguish themselves from authors with similar names. They also make it easier to quickly add citations to profiles for NSF and other grants
  • ScholarWorks is an open database of research and scholarship produced at Boise State and provides a way to share your work openly. ScholarWorks also provides metrics and sends you regular reports on how many times an article is downloaded
