Article Search in Academic Search Premier

Article databases are fairly uniform in how they are searched and how they present results; if you can search one efficiently, you can search most of them the same way. The video below explains how to search Academic Search Premier:

To find articles on your topic, start with one of the databases listed below. These are multidisciplinary databases, meaning they cover the scope of human knowledge and are updated frequently.

  • Academic Search Premier
Covers about 8000 journals and periodicals on all subjects. Includes peer-reviewed articles and some full-text.
  • Google Scholar
Large multi-disciplinary index, finds articles and books as well as institutional repository materials from universities. Set the Google Scholar Preference to link to full-text in the Albertsons Library's databases.
  • ProQuest Central
Large multi-disciplinary database with more than 17,580 titles—with over 11,490 titles in full text.
  • Web of Science
A large full-text scientific database with more than 10 million articles and book chapters. Subjects include science, technology, the humanities, medicine and much more.
