What are primary resources?
Primary resources, such as diaries or historical photographs, provide a "snapshot in time." They present an impression of events and individuals as perceived at that particular moment in history. Primary resources could be factual or prejudicial, but they always represent the recorder's view-point, and provide an opportunity for the reader/viewer to interpret and analyze the document in hand.
Primary resources come in various forms, such as personal letters or diaries, newspaper accounts of an historical event, or original photographs.
