Finding maps in the Library

Some maps in the library are included in the online library catalog, but many are not so finding a map may require several steps:

First, search the online library catalog

[Advanced search] Search with WorldCat

If you don't find what you need there, the library still may have it.

Try searching the Hollenbaugh Map Collection card catalog.

The map collection card catalog is located in the southwest corner of the collection on the first floor (see floor plan) and is searchable by:

  • geographic area,
  • subject, and
  • publisher.

Or if you are looking for a USGS map, see Finding USGS documents and maps for some tips to locate them.
