Searching for Literature

There are several different databases you may want to search in looking for materials associated with your molecule. By selecting each tab above I will introduce you to another database or tool for searching. Over time you will use the databases that work the best for you and your research interests.

Organizing your Literature

The American Chemical Society requires that you use specific formats in your bibliography. This extremely helpful guide from the University of Wisconsin, Madison can help you create your bibliography: http://chemistry.library.wisc.edu/writing/acs-style-guidelines.html

In addition, you will need to consult this title which is located in the reference section at the library:

ACS (American Chemical Society) Style - detailed in the ACS Style Guide: Effective Communication of Scientific Information (Albertsons Library Reference Desk QD8.5 .A25 2006).
