    A large, interdisciplinary database that covers a variety of newspapers and magazines. Good source for locating performance reviews.


  • American Film Scripts Online
    Includes over 1,0090 scripts together with detailed, fielded information on the scenes, characters and people related to the scripts. In addition, the database includes facsimilie images for more than 500 of these screenplays. Most of the scripts have never been published before, and nowhere else are they available online.
  • ARTstor
    Locate art, sculpture, furniture, clothing, and other materials held at museums and notable collections.
  • Biography Index
    Information on playwrights, actors/actresses.

    Coverage of historical events and periods mostly from the 16th Century to the present. Provides alphabetical listing of subjects.
  • JSTOR
    JSTOR is a full-text database of scholarly journals in many subject areas including music. It is a retrospective index, meaning that the most recent 1 to 5 years of each journal are not available through this database. It can be searched by journal title or keyword, and its theatre coverage goes back to the 1800s. Good source for finding critical essays about a play or playwright.
