American Chemical Society Style Quick Guide
The reference copy of the ACS Style Guide (at the Reference Desk QD 8.5 .A25 2006 STYLE MANUAL) covers:
- the use of figures in published materials and how to display them;
- numbers and units of measure;
- names and number for chemical compounds;
- chemical structures, etc...

When you are creating citations for your papers using the ACS style you
will need to abbreviate your journal titles. You can do that by using a
multi-volume book called CASSI - Chemical Abstract Service Source
Index. This is available on the first floor of the library in the
reference section at: ref QD 1 A4. There are also some examples on page
288 of The ACS Style Guide. There is a list of the core chemistry
