Welcome to the Resources for Computer Sciences guide. I've listed a few quick resources on this page, with explanations regarding the additional information on pages accessed by the tabs above.
Articles--to find an article on a specific topic, select from these searchable article databases that cover aspects of computer science. Some of these databases provide full-text, while others provide the publication information needed to search the Library's holdings.

ACM Digital Library
A repository of materials published by ACM, the Association for Computing Machinery including to the journal, magazine, transactions, and conference proceedings titles.
Books--databases that help you identify books of interest.
Example:
Library Catalog
The best place to search for books and media located at the Boise State University Albertsons Library. Includes some electronic and audio books.
Technical Reports--a variety of databases that search technical information produced in technical reports.

Digital resources available include electronic theses and dissertations, technical reports, and eprints.
Patents--search web databases for patents
Example:
US Patent and Trademark Office
Search the full-text of United States patents from 1976 to current at the USPTO's official site. Images of patents from 1790 to current are also available at this site, searchable by Patent Number or by the current Class/ Subclass.
Web Resources-- websites listed here include associations, government resources, and other specialized sites that are not included on other pages

Web Guides-- searchable databases of websites and web pages of engineering interest.

Intute: Science, Engineering and Technology
An excellent site to begin searching or browsing for engineering information on the Web. Companies, University departments, Associations, electronic magazines, information services and product catalogs are among the many types of resources found here. A United Kingdom focus.
Current Journals--link here to specific magazine and journal titles, most links provide table of contents and full-text access.

Reference Books + --selected books that provide brief, introductory information on a topic are listed here.

Encyclopedia of Computer Science - edited by Anthony Ralston, Edwin D. Reilly, David Hemmendinger

A one-volume encyclopedia that contains 623 articles by 450 contributors, the entries cover a wide range of topics including hardware, computer systems, information and data, software, mathematics of computing, theory of computation, methodologies, applications, and computing milieiux. Entries are lengthy and include bibliographical references for further reading. The appendices also include a timeline.
